Whitestone’s 360 secluded acres on the shores of Watts Bar Lake provide a peaceful country pace. Horses graze in sloping pastures and Herons wing across the water to reach small islands. Wildlife and waterfowl sanctuaries surround the meadows and woods. The birds inhabit Paint Rock Wildlife Refuge, a protected area that borders the inn’s property.
The bed and breakfast inn serves as a retreat for world-weary people. Guests find many ways to enjoy relaxation – tennis, hiking, picnicking, bicycling and spa treatments. Fishing or boating on a 39,000 acre Tennessee lake is available at the inn’s dock; kayaks and canoes are on-site (seasonal availability).
Eight miles of walking trails lead throughout the grounds. Guests can also pitch horseshoes with friends, play a vicious game of shuffleboard, or relax in a porch swing or hammock.
