Good Book Oasis, Vrbovce, Slovakia

The Good Book Oasis is located in the foothills of the White Carpathian mountains.  Guests describe as "lovely, bright, roomy and home-like, with sauna and fireplace - a real treat after a day in the snow".  Being near the woods you can see deer, rabbits, hawks and eagles. The family-friendly Skiland is about a 25 minute drive away.  Bratislava, 1.5 hours away, is convenient for business and shopping, and Budapest, Prague and Vienna are all within easy driving distance from the Oasis.

Being 1.5 hours away from Bratislava, the Capitol of Slovakia. the quaint inner city will keep you occupied with it’s nice restaurants, stores, and Hapsburg architecture.  If you want to travel another hour west, you can spend the day in Vienna, Austria. There are no lack of things to do and see in that major city of Music and History. If you prefer to visit the Capitol of the Czech Republic, Prague, that’s 3.5 hours northwest of the Oasis. We would recommend an overnight in Prague as a wonderful outing from the Oasis location.

The Vrbovce, Slovakia area is a rural, quiet, pastoral setting with rolling hills, and quaint villages dotting the landscape. There are many places for short or long hikes, roads for bicycling, (bicycles provided by the Oasis) a ski hill nearby in the winter, and several tourist attractions in the area. Fishing is also possible. Access to a swimming pool is 3 miles away at a Czech Hotel, and a reasonably priced, relaxing massage is possible at a Hotel in the town of Myjava. There you can also find a couple Restaurants, grocery stores, and gas stations.
