High Meadow Retreat

UK

High Meadow Retreat is a small residential retreat centre near Exeter, set in the beautiful south-western county of Devon, England. Surrounded by outstanding natural beauty, we offer tailored debriefing, counselling, and coaching to support Christian workers at every stage of their ministry. Away from the often overwhelming pressures of life and service, the retreat provides space to slow down, rest, and reflect, as well as an opportunity to explore and work through past, present, and future challenges.

Retreats run for one or two weeks and include two to three hours of sessions each day (12–13 hours per week). A careful assessment process takes place before arrival to ensure that the retreat programme and sessions are thoughtfully tailored to each guest.

High Meadow Retreat is run by Mark and Jennifer Snelling, who have both spent much of their lives living and working internationally and bring extensive experience in supporting those in Christian ministry. Mark is an experienced counsellor and psychotherapist with a particular specialism in trauma. Jennifer is a skilled debriefer and coach, with specific expertise in supporting people working in cross-cultural contexts.

In addition to retreats, Mark and Jennifer provide training (both online and in person) on a range of topics, including Psychological First Aid, Cross-Cultural Communication Skills, Strengthening Marriages, Coaching Skills for Leaders, Mental Health and the Church, Burnout, and Conflict Resolution.
