Mental Health, Christian Faith and the Church

Run by High Meadow Retreat

High Meadow Retreat warmly invites you to join us for a timely online webinar exploring the intersection of Mental Health,

When: 2 December 2026, 1:00–3:00pm GMT

Together, we’ll reflect on:

  • Is it possible to integrate and reconcile theology and psychology?
  • How can we understand mental illness from both a Biblical and a psychological perspective?
  • Are there specific challenges for Christians seeking mental health support?
  • What can the Church do to recognise and support the mental health needs of its members?
  • What are the mental health needs of Christian leaders, and how can we care for them well?

Who should attend

This webinar is for Christians who want to deepen their understanding of mental health and its relationship with faith. It will be particularly valuable for church leaders, pastors, those in Christian ministry, pastoral carers, Christians navigating their own mental health challenges, and anyone seeking to support others with compassion and wisdom.

About the trainer

Mark Snelling MSc, MBACP, is a counsellor and psychotherapist specialising in psychological trauma and couples counselling. Combining his clinical experience and Christian faith, he brings a thoughtful perspective to the relationship between mental health, psychology and Christian theology, helping people explore these areas with sensitivity and wisdom.

Fee: Early bird registration £25 (before November 12th), standard ticket price £30.

Please note: We need a minimum number of participants for the webinar to go ahead, so if you are interested in joining us, we would encourage you to register early. Thank you for helping us make this event possible!
