Service Designer (Pioneers Media)

The Service Designer is a key member of the Pioneers Media Support Team, focusing on the strategic and creative design of services that improve how ministry teams engage with technology.

This role centres on understanding user needs and working collaboratively to design intuitive, effective, and efficient digital services. The Service Designer helps ensure that Pioneers Media’s tools and platforms are not only functional, but also aligned with organisational strategy and mission, enabling teams to focus their time and skills on ministry impact.

Key responsibilities include:

• Researching the needs and behaviours of ministry teams and users

• Mapping service blueprints and user journeys to identify improvements

• Developing and implementing service design strategies aligned with organisational goals

• Collaborating with developers, IT specialists, and other stakeholders

• Facilitating workshops with users and stakeholders

• Creating prototypes and wireframes to test and refine service concepts

• Supporting training and promoting adoption of shared technologies across teams

We are looking for someone who brings:

• Experience in service design, UX design, or a related field

• Strong user research skills (interviews, surveys, usability testing)

• Experience producing service blueprints, journey maps, and design artefacts

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Experience with business analysis and change management, ideally in a non-profit context

• A servant-hearted, collaborative approach to working with others
