Spending time at each of our Abernethy centres, you will be surrounded by beautiful Scottish scenery as you work towards your NGB outdoor qualifications.
Living and training in our Christian centres will give you a great starting point in your career as an Outdoor Instructor.
COURSE DATES
The next course September 2026 to June 2027 is full. Dates for 2027/28 haven't been released yet, do contact us for more information.
(The course will run 5 days a week, with 2 days off)
You will have the opportunity to work towards the follow qualifications:
- 2 day Outdoor First Aid course
- Archery GB instructor award
- Child wellbeing & protection in Sport safeguarding course
- BC Paddlesport Safety and Rescue Course
- Selection of Personal performance paddlesport awards
- BC Paddlesport Instructor
- BC Core Coach Training
- BC Paddlesport Leader Training
- BC Paddlesport Leader Assessment
- MLTB Summer Mountain Leader Training
- Learn to Lead rock climbing course
- MLTB Rock Climbing Instructor Training
- Level 2 Mountain Bike Leadership Award Training
- Level 2 Mountain Bike Leadership Award Assessment
- RYA L2 Powerboat Handling
- BC Introduction to White Water Safety
- Snowsports Scotland Level 1
- Optional personal ski week alongside our instructional team [dependent on ski standard]
