As a Secondary English Teacher at Bingham Academy, your mission field is your classroom and the hearts and minds of your students. Every lesson taught, every prayer shared, and every act of service contributes to shaping a generation that will go on to influence the world for Christ.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design and deliver engaging, student centered English lessons aligned with Cambridge curriculum and the school's educational goals
  • Prepare schemes of work, learning resources and assessments that monitor academic progress and support character development
  • Provide timely, constructive feedback and maintain accurate records of student attainment and progress
  • Create a safe, inclusive and supportive classroom and manage it in a consistent, restorative and Christ-centered manner
  • Integrate a Christian philosophy of education and model Christlikeness in relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
  • Collaborate with colleagues, communicate with parents and contribute to meetings, professional development, chapel and wider school activities

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

  • Bachelor's degree in English, Education, English as an Additional Language, Linguistics or related field
  • Teaching certification/license
  • One year teaching experience
  • Master's degree in English (desired, but negotiable)
  • Experience with IGCSE/A Level Cambridge curriculum is an advantage
