ABOUT BINGHAM ACADEMY:

Founded in 1947, Bingham Academy is a Christian international school in Addis Ababa serving students from Ethiopian, missionary, and international families. The school provides quality Christian education within a diverse, multicultural community that equips students of integrity to influence the world for God's glory.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

• Bachelor's degree in Spanish or related subject
• Teaching Certification/License
• One year teaching experience
• Proficiency in the Spanish language and ability to teach all four modalities: speaking, listening, reading, and writing
• Experience teaching Cambridge IGCSE and/or A-Level Spanish (desired, but negotiable)

SOME KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design and deliver engaging, student centered Spanish lessons aligned with the Cambridge curriculum and the school's educational goals
• Prepare schemes of work, learning resources and assessments that monitor academic progress and support character development
• Differentiate instruction to respond to varied learning needs, language backgrounds and levels of readiness
• Create a safe, inclusive and supportive classroom and manage it in a consistent, restorative and Christ-centered manner
• Integrate a Christian philosophy of education and model Christlikeness in relationships with students, parents, and colleagues

• Collaborate with colleagues, communicate with parents and contribute to meetings, professional development, chapel, and wider school activities

VOLUNTEER SUPPORT:
