The Songbook of Jesus – Finding astonishing help in the Psalms
As Jesus met people in His time on our planet, strong lyrics from the book of Psalms were never far from His mind. Christ quoted these songs more than any other part of our sacred text. Depth and insight, reality and wrestling brought the writers of the psalms from weary valleys to hilltop praise. In our time together we will look at the astonishing hope in the songbook of Jesus.
HEATHER HOLDSWORTH is a Bible teacher, author and artist. Her focus is on the spiritual formation of people of all ages. Her time as a teacher grew a keen interest in how people work. She studied Applied Theology for 2 years in Edinburgh, Scotland and completed an MA in Spiritual Formation in Seminary in Chicago. Much of Heather’s art is a response to her study of and meditation on Scripture. Her unique visualisation invites us to reflection and hope. She lives in St. Andrews, Scotland with her husband, Adrian.
At Abernethy, we believe that shared adventures in the outdoors create incomparable opportunities to transform lives. Abernethy Trust provides adventure residential experiences through outdoor adventure centres in wild locations across Scotland.
