Trustees

Whitefield Christian Trust provides assistance to mission personnel who have worked overseas for many years and need housing on retirement.  

We are looking for two trustees:

One to facilitate the process of finding suitable accommodation for applicants, the other with experience of the house buying process.

Facilitator role

You will receive and review applications received by email, identify those the Trust can potentially help and arrange for discussion with the Trustees.  Then take up references for those who we agree to assist and ‘hand hold’ potential beneficiaries through the house purchase process.  Arrange surveys and review these with the beneficiary.  Usually we only buy two to four houses per year, so this can be briefly intense but not onerous over the year.

In addition there is often ongoing liaison with beneficiaries if they require assistance with repairs or their circumstances change.

Purchase role

This involves liaising with the beneficiary and solicitors to ensure purchase process progresses. Someone with experience from a solicitor’s or estate agent background would be ideal.
