Mission Mobiliser

Pioneers International is a fast-growing mission movement with over 3,000 missionary field members in over 100 countries, and a passion to see God glorified among the nations.

Pioneers mobilises teams to glorify God among unreached people groups by initiating church planting movements in partnership with local churches.

As a mobiliser you will be responsible for connecting with people who have a call for mission to the unreached and to mentor and help equip them for ministry. You will be part of a mobilisation team committed to the ongoing development of strategy and training for our applicants and members.

This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in the key mission activities of a future-focused mission agency that also benefits from over 100 years of mission experience in the Arab world, in the Sahel and around the world.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Make contact with people through visiting University Christian Unions Bible Colleges, Christian Events, Churches, and similar groups.
• To plan and coordinate our Edge Team programme including the recruitment, mentoring, and debriefing of applicants and participants.
• To mentor those returning from short-term programmes, with the aim of encouraging further engagement in cross-cultural mission.
• To make initial contact with enquirers who come to us.
• Mentoring enquirers appropriately through the application process and support them as they become members of the agency.
• To be involved in the delivery of our orientation via our initial weekend training called Mission Explored and subsequently with pre-field orientation for those who are ready to join their field assignments.
• To represent Pioneers Uk and Ireland Pioneers at Christian Events, University CUs, Bible Colleges, Churches and Mission Agency Partnerships.
• Development of fresh methods for communicating to the next generation about mission.

In order to perform this role, it is essential that the post holder is in full sympathy with the aims and Core Values of Pioneers UK and Ireland. To that end he/she must be a committed Christian, able to agree with the organisation’s statement of faith, and able to fully participate in spiritual activities whilst carrying out the responsibilities of Mobiliser.
