Family, Children and Community Worker

St George’s is a welcoming, caring and growing church family in Wilton, Taunton. Since launching our 11 am contemporary service, we’ve seen encouraging growth and new life as people of all ages come together to worship, learn, and serve.  We’re passionate about helping people encounter Jesus, belong in community, and live out faith in everyday life. Families and children are right at the heart of that vision.  You’ll be joining a fun, supportive staff team, based in a buzzing church office, working alongside a wonderful group of volunteers and a vibrant congregation that loves to get involved and cheer one another on.

The purpose of the role is to lead, coordinate and develop the family, children and community ministry, helping children aged 0–11 and their families grow in faith, friendship, and confidence as followers of Jesus.  The role involves overseeing and supporting our Sunday groups, building bridges between the church and local families, and developing creative opportunities for connection and discipleship in the community.
