Elementary & Secondary Art Teacher

The Elementary & Secondary Art Teacher is responsible for managing the classroom, encouraging students in their artistic expression and providing instruction that aligns with the Mission, Vision and Core Values of the school.

Qualifications

• A mature Christian with a clear testimony

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution

• Preferably hold a current teacher’s license

Responsibilities

• Model a consistent daily walk with Jesus Christ in attitude, speech and actions 

• Design and implement instruction that addresses the academic, emotional, social, and physical needs of the students

• Create and submit lesson plans with objectives that align with established curricular goals 

• Maintain a safe, inviting, organized classroom environment that promotes engaged learning

• Differentiate instruction, aligning methods and techniques to meet diverse student needs

• Incorporate creative, hands-on, student centered learning experiences 

• Integrate Biblical principles and Christian philosophy of education throughout the curriculum

• Employ strategies of effective classroom management which focus on positive reinforcement
