7 month discipleship course in North East Africa - An integrated learning and living approach.

October 2024 to May 2025 (Plus orientation before departure and re-entry debriefing)

Who is it for?

For people with a desire to: know the Lord and play their unique part in seeing his kingdom come in this generation; love, honour and serve others. learn to appreciate and interact within foreign cultures; grow in personal character, resilience and responsibility; contribute to fellowship and community; feed oneself and others from the Word of God; be led by the Holy Spirit; live a healthy lifestyle; physically, mentally, spiritually, relationally and economically.

What is Required?

A willingness and able to understand and communicate in English. Basic life skills such as the ability to shop, cook, eat communally, clean, stay well, and relate well with others. A humble teachable spirit that is willing and able to learn from others. To be physically and mentally robust. There are significant spiritual challenges here that we will help you face and overcome.

What does the 7 months involve?

Skills development - Arabic, cross cultural & communication skills.

Understanding how to read, interpret and apply Scripture.

Weekly worship, prayer and intercession.

Engaging with local communities and building new relationships.

Being light, salt, and a witness for Christ in every situation.

Reflecting on what the Lord is teaching you through regular journalling, conversation, and debriefing.

Enjoying the beaches, sea, mountains, restaurants, cafes and some of the many activities the area has to offer.
