Step-by-step guide to managing your organisation's account on OSCAR.

Four levels of account (packages) are available for 2026 allowing you to advertise your Jobs/Opportunities, Events and Resources directly on the OSCAR website. Here's a brief summary:
Further details on all 4 packages can be found at OSCAR's Advertising Packages. If you wish to upgrade your account from a lower level at any time, please contact us.
When you utilise any of these services through your account, you are agreeing to the terms defined in the pricing structure for that level of account.
For instructions on accessing your personal account, see Personal Account Instructions. From there, once you have claimed or created an organisation, you can manage it using these instructions.
1/ To adjust your Organisation information
- Click on 'My Organisation' on the left menu or the Manage buttons next to your organisation(s) to change any of your organisation's details, except your organisation's name (which requires approval from us).
- Please fill in as much as you can.
- Make sure you upload a good resolution copy of your current logo as this goes on your Profile Page, all Jobs you submit and on social media whenever we link to you. Any graphic file format is fine, but PNG files of reasonable resolution work best.
- Profile description are for the Profile Page and can only be submitted with the Silver, Gold and Platinum accounts.
- The Email field is the email that goes on your organisation's listing, so a general enquiries email address is best.
- The Vacancies Email field is the email address that goes on the bottom of all job listings, so choose one for job enquirers to use. If you don't want them to email you but to follow specific application instructions put in the listing, you can leave this field blank.
- The 'Industries' section is for you to tick one primary and two secondary industries for your organisation.
- Click ‘Save Information'.
- In this section you can also see any others who have login details for your account. If, at any time, any of those are not current anymore (either for changing roles or leaving your organisation), please let us know so we can update your account users.
4/ To Submit or Edit your Job listings (Package required for this)
- This section is only for bona fide jobs or human resource opportunities.
- Click on 'My Jobs' on the left menu or on the Jobs 'Manage' button further down the page.
- If you already have Jobs on our system, these will be displayed. You can edit and renew your live, expired or pending Job listings. You can also view stats for each listing (click the graph icon at the end of the line) or view previous listings and stats of that particular opportunity (click on the clock icon).
- You can also add a new Job/Opportunity by clicking on 'Create New' (A limited number of included live job listings are defined for the Gold and Platinum packages. For Bronze or Silver, we charge at the PAYG rate and we will normally invoice you for this after you have added your job and we have approved it).
- Keep the title short and don't include the location or organisation. They get added from those fields.
- Fill in as much other information as you can.
- Check the Industry categories that are central to the role. You have one primary and two secondary.
- You can add File attachments (Job Description, Application Form etc.) at the bottom of the form.
- Opportunity listings are for 90 days or sooner if you define a closing date.
- Click on ‘Submit Opportunity’ to submit to go live (Gold and Platinum members) or for approval (all other cases).
- If you are on Gold or Platinum and you are at the limit of your live listings and want to replace one of those with a new one, it's best to close the listing you want to remove (it goes offline but remains in your account) and create a new listing for the new job to go in its place. Changing the job titles of listings partway through doesn’t work well on our system. It also means you retain the first listing on our system for possible reactivation later.
5/ To Submit or Edit your Resources (Package required for this)
- If you provide a specific resource or resources of use or interest to others that you would like us to include in OSCAR's 'Resource' directory, this is the place to submit it. You are limited as to how many you can have 'live' by the package you are on.
- Click on 'My Resources' on the left menu.
- Fill in as much as you can. Try to keep the description short and concise.
- Under 'Directory Sections' try to put in the title of the specific page on the OSCAR website you want this resource to appear in. The actual page should then appear as a suggestion.
- Click 'Submit Resource' and it will come to us for approval (except Gold and Platinum members where it will be posted directly online).
6/ To Submit or Edit your Events (Package required for this)
- If you have any upcoming events planned which are open to the public and might be of interest to others then you can include them in OSCAR's 'Events' directory. You are limited as to how many you can have 'live' by the package you are on.
- Click on 'My Events' on the left menu.
- Fill in as many of the sections as you can.
- You can preview the listing before submitting.
- Click 'Submit Event' and it will come to us for approval (except Gold and Platinum members where it will be posted directly online).
7/ To double-check your basic org details in your directory listing on the website
- Go to oscar.org.uk/organisations.
- Select the first letter of your organisation's name.
- Scroll down to find your entry.
- Check your details including name, summary text, website, email and telephone.
8/ To check your Profile Page (if appropriate)
- From your org directory listing, click on the 'Visit your org’s profile' button.
- Check all details on your Profile Page, including the logo, address and your summary info.
9/ To check your live Jobs/Opportunities (if appropriate)
- From your Profile Page (if you have one), click on each opportunity listed in turn, clicking the back button when finished.
- If you don't have a Profile Page or if you want to check which of your opportunities are showing up live on OSCAR, go to Jobs and select your organisation's name from the Organisation category under the left filter menu. All your live opportunities should now be listed.
10/ To check your live Resources or Events (if appropriate)
- Either search for these using OSCAR's search engine or navigate to the page where your listing should be showing.
- Check all details and adjust through your account as necessary.
That's it!
