GVDA aims to provide quality volunteering, through which lives are changed.
We believe that volunteers can change the world. We believe that giving opportunities for great volunteers to serve at the right placement can have a lasting and life-changing impact for everyone involved. We are committed to changing the world, one interaction at a time.
GVDA started providing volunteering opportunities in the mid 1990’s, and we are pleased to say that GVDA is now one of the most established ecumenical Christian volunteering organisations in Kenya.
We provide quality volunteering opportunities, and we do this by working in partnership with Churches and Christian organisations for all traditions across the world and with European and International Voluntary Service Organisations.
Each year GVDA hosts 100+ volunteers, who are placed into local communities where they will live and serve for a year. Our volunteers are truly international and represent over 40 countries over the last 2 decades. GVDA Placements are all unique, and cover a broad spectrum (These include Churches, Hostels, Youth Activity centers and working with the elderly to name a few). Each placement is both in Kenya and overseas and has Christian ethos.
