The Secondary Science teacher is responsible for managing the classroom, nurturing students in growth and development, and providing instruction in Science that aligns with the Mission, Vision, and Core Values of the school.
Qualifications
- Must be a mature Christian with a clear testimony
- Bachelor’s degree from accredited institution
- Preferably hold a current teacher’s license
Responsibilities
- Model a consistent daily walk with Jesus Christ in attitude, speech and actions
- Design and implement instruction that addresses the academic, emotional, social, and physical needs of the students
- Create and submit lesson plans with objectives that align with established curricular goals
- Maintain a safe, inviting, organized classroom environment that promotes engaged learning
- Differentiate instruction, aligning methods and techniques to meet diverse student needs
- Incorporate creative, hands-on, student centered learning experiences
- Integrate Biblical principles and Christian philosophy of education throughout the curriculum
- Employ strategies of effective classroom management which focus on positive reinforcement
