Have you ever considered using your professional skills to serve people with disabilities as a way to reach the unreached?
Much of the world lacks qualified professionals who can work with the physically and mentally disabled. Opportunities include roles such as speech pathologist, occupational therapist, physical therapist, physiotherapist, behavioural therapist, child psychologist, special education teacher, and supporting families or communities where disability may be stigmatised. Experience is advantageous, but no experience/ entry-level applicants can also be considered.
Pioneers is a global mission agency serving in 85 countries, reaching 440 people groups through 480 teams with more than 3,000 members. There are Support Worker / Therapist opportunities where your skills are needed in Central Asia, Eastern Europe, South Asia, North Africa, East Africa, the Middle East and South-East Asia. These roles are in the context of private healthcare settings, rehabilitation clinics, hospitals or community outreach.
Most roles require you to raise your own financial support and learn the local language as a missionary.
This is a great opportunity to make an impact for Jesus, grow in your professional experience, and bring practical help and hope to people with disabilities who may otherwise have little access to appropriate care.
You will be supported by Pioneers team members on the field, and our UK member care team. We will also guide you through the pre-field preparation process.
