
The Member Care Specialist seeks to see cross-cultural workers from the European and CAMENA (E&C) region prepared, equipped, encouraged and empowered for effective and sustainable work and life. In facilitation with other Member Care experts (counselors, psychologists etc.) you provide the necessary care so that our staff are enabled to fulfill their calling. You will serve approximately 75 staff in 5 offices, remote workers, and Europeans abroad.
As Staff Development Specialist you actively provide HR Services to the European and CAMENA regions by promoting and establishing processes, structures and an organizational culture that:

Responsibilities include:
§ Provide and facilitate Member Care (MC) for all staff in our regions. Involve staff pastor couple (if applicable) and other resources where applicable.
§ Develop trusting and caring relationships with all TWR E&C staff (in offices & remote) as well as European missionaries serving outside the E&C region.
§ Further develop TWR E&C’s onboarding program. Work closely with the office managers to ensure new staff feel welcomed and prepared.
§ Ensure smooth off-boarding processes, including exit interviews. Support staff in their approach to retirement or repatriation.
§ Provide or facilitate Member Care related topics for staff.
§ MPD: Support the HR Recruiter in the running of our CATalyst program. Coach missionaries in their MPD.
§ Support missionaries in furlough planning if needed.
§ Come alongside interns and short-termers to help them find their calling and long-term perspective.
§ Help build community and healthy office culture.
§ Come alongside those on the global MC Team that focus on TCKs to ensure E&C’s TCKs are well cared for and supported.
§ Develop clearly defined MC processes.
§ Assist the HR Director in “staff crisis situations” and in conflict mediation.
§ Organize, facilitate and lead training events as needed.
§ Train and assist supervisors on HR issues to ensure each staff receives FDRs.
§ Proactively work with leadership on personnel and succession planning together with HR Director and Recruiter.
§ Support HR Director in implementing and maintaining HR policies & practices.
§ Work with HR Director to promote and facilitate learning and staff development activities, as well as addressing needs identified in Feedback & Development Reviews (FDR’s).
§ Other responsibilities as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
§ Significant cross-cultural working or living experience.
§ Strong cross-cultural sensitivity, being able to transcend the differences that make up our TWR community.
§ Knowledge of Member Care and staff development topics and issues, or training to acquire this knowledge.
§ Excellent knowledge of written and oral English.
§ Proficient with Microsoft 365.
Desirable Qualifications:
§ Bachelor’s degree in field related to Member Care and/or Staff Development.
§ Experience in Ministry Partner Development (MPD).
Physical Demands:
§ Ability and willingness to travel occasionally (primarily within the European region).
§ Ability to manage stress and establish a healthy work-life balance.
