Friends International is an evangelical mission agency dedicated to supporting and equipping churches to reach international students for Christ. We currently have 80 Field Staff and Associates working in 35 university towns and cities across the UK and Ireland.

There are 177,700 International Students studying in London universities, which is 24.8% of all international university students in UK.

Reporting to the London and Kent Cluster Leader, you will oversee the development and multiplication of international student ministry in one of four designated London Sectors (NW, NE, SW or Central London). This is a pioneering role, focusing on developing ministry across multiple campuses, and working in close partnership with local churches in the designated London Sector.

You will be:

  • Educated to degree level or its equivalent

  • Passionate about cross-cultural ministry

  • A pioneering visionary able to prioritise and think strategically

  • A networker and team builder with gifts of encouragement and pastoral care

  • An effective communicator

  • Committed to pursuing unity and building bridges across the evangelical spectrum

  • A self-starter, able to manage time and resources well

  • Committed to the life of a local church

  • Willing to raise personal support from churches and individuals

Hours: Up to full-time (35 hours), dependent on degree of personal support (i.e. sufficient support for your own salary and work-related expenses from mission giving).

Salary: This is a personal-support funded role (i.e. you will need to raise sufficient support for your own salary and associated employment costs from mission giving), with some support initially from the strategic growth fund. The salary paid will be pro rata of £41,935 per annum for a 35 hour week.
