UFM Worldwide exists to support local churches in making disciples of all nations. We love helping churches to identify, train, send and support workers for cross-cultural mission.  Our priorities are to take the gospel to the least reached and to support under resourced churches around the world.  We currently have the privilege of serving:

  • Over 300 long term & short term mission partners from 35 nationalities
  • Sent by 148 gospel hearted churches, serving in over 50 different countries

We're looking for a candidate with strong experience in pastoral care, a heart for mission and a love for people.  Experience serving in the local church and/or in cross-cultural mission will be a strong advantage.

This role oversees all mission partner personnel related functions within UFM Worldwide and ensures pastoral care is administered appropriately to all mission partners.  Responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing the provision of UFM's pastoral care for all mission partners, to complement the care given from sending churches
  • Being line manager for our Head of Women's Pastoral Ministry and TCK coordinator, as well as supporting other staff and volunteers who have pastoral responsibilities
  • Being the first point of contact pastorally for a group of UFM mission partners
  • Coordinating and taking part in our programme of in-country visits to mission partners
  • Leading our personnel administration team to ensure that our application, orientation, review, debrief and re-entry processes are robust and honour the place of the sending church
  • For relevant candidates, speaking about the work of UFM and mission more broadly in churches and other Christian groups
  • Serving as a member of our Senior Leadership Team
