Run by Abernethy Outdoor Centre
Many pivotal moments in the Bible happen on mountains: they are places of encounter, revelation, worship and much more. In our own lives too, many of us find the hills to be an inspiring and stimulating environment – and the journeys we undertake among them are often faith enhancing and deeply rewarding.
Our morning and evening reflections on the scriptures will be guided by young theologian, Isaac Riley. Isaac has a passion for helping people ‘know the Bible better and love the Lord better’ and his previous leading at Kilmalieu was hugely appreciated. Our outdoor exploits (mid-morning to mid-late afternoon) will be led by local mountain leader, Emma Dewar. Emma delights in helping our guests turn their walks into stimulating pilgrimages.
Situated on the shores of Loch Linnhe, Kilmalieu enjoys a stunning Highland setting. This beautifully renovated eighteenth-century hunting lodge offers comfortable single, twin and family rooms, alongside homemade food that is consistently praised by guests.
During your stay, you will have access to the library, art room, lounge, chapel, games room, labyrinth and gym, as well as the extraordinary landscape that surrounds us.
At Abernethy, we believe that shared adventures in the outdoors create incomparable opportunities to transform lives. Abernethy Trust provides adventure residential experiences through outdoor adventure centres in wild locations across Scotland.
