Run by Abernethy Outdoor Centre
From our base in the renovated eighteenth-century hunting lodge at Kilmalieu, join us to explore the stunning mountains and lochs of the Ardnamurchan peninsula by canoe and on foot. We will journey along the longest sea loch in the Highlands, visit an ancient castle, encounter the natural riches of rare Atlantic rainforest and view all of this and beyond from a remote mountain top*.
No prior experience is necessary, but you will need to be ready for three days of physical activity, supported by the Abernethy Trust’s experienced instructors. All specialist equipment is provided.
Each evening, we will enjoy a delicious dinner back at the lodge and hear an inspiring talk from a Christian adventurer. There will also be opportunities for reflective worship and fellowship.
Kilmalieu occupies a stunning position on the shore of Loch Linnhe. It is a renovated eighteenth-century hunting lodge with a mixture of comfortable single, twin and family bedrooms. Food is home-made and consistently praised for its quality. Guests have access to a small library, art room, lounge, chapel and gym – and are free to explore the estate, with its glorious mix of mountains, coastline and woodland.
At Abernethy, we believe that shared adventures in the outdoors create incomparable opportunities to transform lives. Abernethy Trust provides adventure residential experiences through outdoor adventure centres in wild locations across Scotland.
