Run by Abernethy Outdoor Centre
This is a gentle, spacious and relaxed retreat that you can totally make your own. You will be invited to join the rhythm of morning and evening prayers. There will be lots of time to rest or to explore the amazing coastline hills and woodland around Kilmalieu. The estate is home to an incredible variety of birds, animals and plant life. There will be optional opportunities to help with environmental tasks. These could involve assisting in monitoring different aspects of nature or helping remove invasive plants. The Kilmalieu team will offer retreat activities to guide and inspire prayer and reflection. All options are of course … optional!
Kilmalieu occupies a stunning position on the shore of Loch Linnhe. It is a renovated eighteenth-century hunting lodge with a mixture of comfortable single, twin and family bedrooms. Food is home-made and consistently praised for its quality. Guests have access to a small library, chapel, art room, games room, lounge, sports hall and gym.
