Reading R. Scott Rodin's excellent book has been one of my most refreshing and insightful experiences recently. It is a wonderful mosaic of teaching and examples of generosity gleaned from authors from around the world. The diversity of cultures shared and the skill of the editor in blending all the contributions into an unfolding of wisdom on this key subject is really encouraging.
The impacting stories illustrating many facets of generosity are thoughtfully chosen and blend seamlessly with the nuggets of teaching throughout the book. Much wisdom and practical insight is woven into the rich text.
However, that is not all... the thought-provoking summaries at the end of each chapter and the 7-day challenge at the end of the book are all very relevant and bring the reader into a focussed application mode. It is a book rich in principles and equally relevant potential ideas to increase one's understanding of generosity and its practical outworking in everyday life.
