OSCAR hosts a Jobs/Opportunities Board and Mission Resources Display at various Christian events throughout the year.
Job card bookings for 2025 are not yet open. They should be open at the beginning of April.
Jobs Board
We are planning to have an opportunities board at the following major Christian conferences and festivals during this year and a Mission Resources Display at all except Bangor Worldwide.
Potential Events for 2025
The Gathering, Wiltshire
A weekend festival for men in June. OSCAR is hosting a jobs board in The Mess Tent, the dynamic space where the delegates hang out with refreshments (https://thegatheringformen.com).
The Aber Conference, Aberystwyth, Wales
A week long event in August with a 4-day mission focused exhibition. OSCAR will be hosting a jobs/opportunities/resource board for the first time at this event (http://emw.org.uk/aber)
Bangor Worldwide Missionary Convention, Northern Ireland
A week long mission focused event in August in Northern Ireland. OSCAR helps run the info hub and provides the jobs/opportunities boards for this event (www.worldwidemission.org)
David's Tent 'Resource Tent', Wiltshire
A three day worship event held at Charlton Park, Wiltshire, over August bank holiday weekend. Around 6,500 delegates are expected, 65% of them young adults (18-30) with a high number of job and mission opportunity seekers included (www.davidstent.net)
CRE, London
A two day exhibition held in November at Sandown Racecourse, Esher, Surrey. They anticipate visitors from across all denominations to the exhibition, over the two days. Many of these are already full-time Christian/church workers and/or key decision makers and influencers in churches. OSCAR runs the official jobs/opportunities board for CRE. There will also be a special 'Mission on the Map' area for mission organisations (http://creonline.co.uk)
Other minor events - Those who book cards at any of the above events could also be selected, at no extra charge, for display at any of the many smaller events we attend during the year. These include: mission fairs (at various Christian colleges), one day or weekend mission conferences, Christian Union mission evenings, church events etc.

To give your opportunities maximum profile, the jobs board is the main feature of our exhibition stand and we do everything to make them as attractive and accessible as possible. The board includes opportunities from a huge variety of Christian organisations in the UK and abroad, some of whom have other representation at the events and some of them not. Opportunities can include any human resource need you have, including short-term programmes, gap year opportunities, internships, voluntary roles, trusteeships, representatives, study roles etc., as well as more traditional jobs or long-term mission placements.
Each job listing gets its own A6 card which follows a standard format including your logo, job title, description and contact details. You just fill in our job card form and we create the cards for you.
To make this offer accessible to everyone and to provide a good spread of opportunities for the jobs board, we try to keep our costs as low as possible. Our aim is just to cover our costs for exhibiting, therefore our charges for the job cards are very competitive.

You get a discount of £5 for every additional event you book at the same time (i.e. book all 5 events and get a £20 discount).

To promote your Mission Resources, the price includes a card on our resources board at all events except Bangor Worldwide. The total cost for all events in 2025 will be a flat rate (£150) with the same discounts for Gold & Platinum members, and a substantial discount for Site Sponsors.
