Juba Christian Academy, South Sudan

Juba Christian Academy is an international primary school in Juba, the capital of South Sudan. 

Our small, happy school strives to provide high quality international education in a loving Christian environment. The school uses an international curriculum currently rooted in the North American curriculum,modified for our local context, global community and Christian heart. The school year starts in September through to early July. We are an English-speaking school , and support those who have English as an additional language. Children come from a variety of backgrounds: some have spent their entire lives in Juba whilst others have already travelled the world!

Teachers are excited to teach in a rich cross-cultural environment and in multi-grade level classrooms, with limited resources but creativity andresilience by the bucketful! Teachers engage children's interests in learning, and challenge them, equipping them with skills to become independent and collaborative learners whilst also providing precise,individualised support. Some subjects are taught through whole-school themes which link to learning to the wider world. There is a strong family atmosphere with authentic and meaningful relationships in the school community being a real strength as we grow and learn together. We are committed to the academic, emotional, social and spiritual development of every child.
