Technologist

For UK and Ireland residents / passport holders only

Within Pioneers there is a team which trains and mentors national leaders in the Arab world and beyond to teach, disciple and equip Muslim background believers in church multiplication. The role of the technologist is to: 1. serve as project manager for technological development projects (ex: our mobile app);
2. oversee development, use, and ongoing improvement of data management systems (ex: tracking creation and progress of discipleship groups that we serve);
3. perform data entry;
4. guide the team in evaluating, selecting, and implementing collaboration tools (ex: Quip, Google Drive, Slack) in collaboration and consultation with our Area IT leadership;
5. maintain/update content on established platforms (ex: website, mobile app) 6. other areas of maintaining and developing technology.

The technologist does not need to:
1. Be the content expert or developer in new projects but is generally conversant with technology in order to be able to translate PALM’s ministry goals into technological tools. Software development, etc. is typically contracted to outside groups.
2. Serve as PALM’s desktop support IT personnel. We have dedicated IT staff as part of our team. However, you will be asked for some basic computing help!
