IT Strategist and Teacher

Job Summary: The School IT Strategist is responsible for ensuring that Hebron School remains at the cutting edge of technological developments to enhance student learning experiences and school operations. The role involves challenging existing processes and systems, conducting audits and surveys, and implementing innovative technological solutions to improve school effectiveness. Additionally, the IT Strategist may also be expected to teach Middle School, Senior School, and A Level IT.

Responsibilities: ● Ensure the school is at the forefront of technological advancements in education and administration. ● Challenge the effectiveness of processes, systems, and ways of working to develop and implement innovative practices. ● Conduct proactive surveys and audits to assess the current state of school technology systems and identify areas for improvement. ● Deliver inspiring lessons in Computer Science and Technology that continue to raise teaching standards. ● Maintain knowledge of and communicate current research findings and trends in educational technology. ● Coordinate with curriculum and assessment teams to integrate digital tools and best practices into teaching and learning systems. ● Support a personalised, collaborative, and innovative learning environment using technology. ● Implement digital citizenship initiatives to develop responsible digital citizens. ● Ensure network and technology resources are used safely and responsibly while promoting accessibility. ● Identify and implement the latest and most relevant technologies to enhance teaching and learning. ● Monitor progress in achieving curriculum goals and assess the impact of technology integration on student learning. ● Engage with academic staff to explore and assess emerging educational technologies. ● Collaborate with school leadership, teaching staff, and IT specialists to evaluate and implement new technologies that support deeper learning.

Requirements: Experience: ● Minimum 5 years of leadership experience. ● Minimum 10 years of experience in implementing technology solutions.

Qualifications/Skills: ● Graduate in Technology or equivalent experience. ● Proficient in Python, Java, C++, and/or other coding languages. ● Knowledge of Data Science preferred. ● Proven track record in leading technology change and innovation in a school setting. ● Background in instructional design with a strong understanding of integrating technology into the curriculum. ● Experience in facilitating the integration of technology into educational environments. ● Experience in an international school setting is preferred.
