Reception Teacher
Role Overview:
We are seeking a nurturing and dedicated Reception Teacher to join our esteemed team of educators. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing a stimulating and supportive learning environment for our youngest learners, ensuring they have a solid foundation for their educational journey.
Key Responsibilities:
- Early Years Curriculum Delivery: Develop and deliver engaging lessons in line with the British Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum, focusing on play-based learning, social development, and foundational literacy and numeracy skills.
- Child-Centred Approach: Foster a nurturing and inclusive environment where each child feels valued, supported, and encouraged to explore their interests and develop their unique abilities.
- Individualised Learning: Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of young learners, providing tailored support and challenges to ensure each child reaches their full potential.
- Creative Activities: Plan and facilitate various hands-on, age-appropriate activities, including arts and crafts, storytelling, music, and physical play to stimulate cognitive and motor skills development.
- Parent Communication: Maintain open and regular communication with parents, providing updates on their child's progress, milestones, and areas for growth.
- Safety and Well-being: Prioritize the safety, health, and well-being of nursery students, ensuring a secure and nurturing environment conducive to learning and exploration.
- Collaborative Teamwork: Work closely with fellow educators, learning support staff, and parents to create a positive and effective learning community.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in early childhood education or a related field.
- Qualified Teacher Status or equivalent teaching certification.
- Proven experience teaching reception-age children.
- Knowledge of the British Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a warm and caring demeanour.
- Ability to create a positive, engaging, and inclusive learning environment.
