Project Manager

Pioneers UK

For UK and Ireland residents / passport holders only

Within Pioneers there is a team which trains and mentors national leaders in the Arab world and beyond to teach, disciple and equip Muslim background believers in church multiplication. As a team with many more opportunities than members, we need help prioritising, focusing, and following through on the most important projects. We seek someone who can help bring about a culture of accountability for results while guarding an ethos of grace. There is an obvious tension between these two values, and so the right person for this role will be someone who appreciates both sides of this tension equally and who is excited about developing a way to keep them in healthy balance, for the advancement of disciple-making and church planting in the Arab world and beyond. Helpful skills, experiences, and qualities:

• Formal or informal experience in project management
• Familiarity/skill with project management tools
• Ability to cultivate the trust and respect of others and to successfully influence them without command authority
• A ‘systems thinker’, oriented toward setting up systems that serve the work (rather than multiplying it), that are simple and unobtrusive, and that are durable
• Understanding of and appreciation for the team’s core mission (see first sentence)
• Organisation, planning ahead, and coordination of multi-part projects
• Collaborating and communicating in a distributed team (i.e., not all the team physically together)
• A problem-solving mindset
• Flexible in approach to challenges, etc.
• Cross-cultural experience
