As a Christ-centered educational institution, we strive to create an environment where faith and learning are intertwined, and where each child is encouraged to develop their God-given potential. Our mission is to keep God and His love at the centre of everything we do; and to support children as they learn, play, and grow into respectful, inclusive, and empathetic people.
We are seeking a devoted and enthusiastic Primary School Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a deep commitment to integrating Christian values into their teaching practice, a creative approach to lesson planning, and a collaborative spirit. This role involves delivering high-quality, faith-based education to students in Years 1-6, supporting their academic and spiritual growth, and working closely with colleagues and parents to ensure a holistic learning experience. To start January 2025.
Lead Teachers are expected to:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and age-appropriate lessons that integrate Christian values and principles and are in line with the British National Curriculum.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports the diverse needs of students, reflects Christ's love and encourages academic and spiritual development.
- Monitor and assess students' progress through regular evaluations, feedback, and reporting.
- Use assessment data to inform instruction and provide targeted support to enhance learning outcomes.
- Establish and maintain a respectful and disciplined classroom atmosphere.
- Implement effective behaviour management strategies that reflect biblical principles to ensure a productive learning environment.
- Identify and support the needs of students with varying abilities and learning styles.
- Provide additional assistance and differentiation to support their academic and emotional development.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, including other teachers, support staff, and school leadership.
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school events.
- Maintain open and effective communication with students, parents, and guardians.
- Provide regular updates on students' progress and address any concerns or queries always with a compassionate and Christ-centered approach.
- Manage and organise classroom resources and materials.
- Complete necessary administrative tasks related to teaching, including lesson plans, grading, and record-keeping.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Education.
- Valid teaching certification/license.
- Previous experience teaching from the British National Curriculum is preferred.
- Knowledge of teaching reading and writing through a phonetic approach is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of primary school curricula and teaching methodologies with a commitment to integrating Christian principles into the curriculum.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to create a positive and engaging learning environment.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and personal growth in faith.
Personal Attributes:
- Passionate about teaching and fostering both academic and spiritual growth in young minds.
- Patient, empathetic, and able to build strong, Christ-centered relationships with students.
- Creative and resourceful in developing instructional materials and activities that reflect Christian values.
- Flexible and adaptable to the evolving needs of the classroom and school community.
