Pilot/Maintenance Engineer - Guinea

Mission Aviation Fellowship

Overview

Mission Aviation Fellowship International (MAF) is an international Christian organisation bringing help, hope and healing to some of the poorest and most remote communities in the world. Our vision is to see isolated people changed by the love of Christ. Our purpose is to share God’s love bringing help, hope and healing through aviation.  And our values are embodied in six key words: Impact, Witness, Partnership, Care, Excellence and Stewardship.

For over 75 years, MAF has been transporting patients, relief workers, produce and medical supplies to the world’s remotest regions and places of deepest human need – places where flying is not a luxury but a lifeline.

Guinea became independent from France over 60 years ago and is one the least developed countries in the world. The Ebola epidemic had a devastating impact on the country along with poor infrastructure, a growing population and a fragile democracy.

MAF's mission is to provide much needed safe and reliable air transport for organisations working in remote locations providing sanitation, primary health care, agricultural development and food security.

We are looking for a Pilot/Maintenance Engineer who will safely carry out flight and maintenance operations and have the flexibility to undertake other responsibilities.

Responsibilities

You will be exceptional in providing aviation services that support customers and communities in Guinea. This role involves conducting mission flights in line with MAF procedures, maintaining compliance with safety and quality systems, and managing the Guinea maintenance facility.

You'll ensure flying and maintenance qualifications are up-to-date, meeting national and organisational regulations, and adhere to duty times and medical requirements. Additional responsibilities include optimising operational efficiency, maintaining aircraft documentation, participating in training and professional development, and supporting safety and quality initiatives.

Highly skilled in aircraft maintenance, repairs, managing parts and tool inventory, you will liaise with key stakeholders to uphold MAF’s high standards.

This dynamic role requires technical expertise, a commitment to safety, and a passion for serving others through aviation.
