Personnel Lead / Community Member

Have you a calling to join a Christian Community in the lovely Yorkshire Dales? We are seeking a new team member to join Scargill Community and work in Personnel. Joining in the rhythm of prayer, hospitality, and fun, to help us fulfil our calling as a community & retreat centre. 

We are an international community living and working together sharing a common rule of life focussed around a daily rhythm of prayer. We are all involved in the day to day running of Scargill House as well as sharing hospitality with our guests. 

Job Summary                                                                                                                           

This is a very varied role with daily, weekly and monthly tasks ensuring each work team has sufficient team members from community or/and our Working Friends (volunteers). There is also a strong pastoral element to the role. The role includes recruitment, both for general community, those on our International Community Volunteer Programme and our Working Friends (volunteers).  There are a number of administration tasks including allocating overseas Tier 5 Visa’, interviews, reviews, Safeguarding, Off Duty and various other rotas. This role is perfect for someone who loves people, organisation, and teamwork.

This is a 2 yr post, not a salaried position and for those who hold a UK passport or have the right to work in the UK. You will receive accommodation including all bills, wifi connection, meals and a monthly personal allowance.
