National Volunteer & Church Engagement Coordinator
Drug education charity Hope UK is looking to recruit a Volunteer & Church Engagement Coordinator to develop its work across the UK.
The exciting new role of the National Volunteer & Church Engagement Coordinator has responsibility for increasing our engagement with the church and number of and activities delivered by volunteer educators. The post holder will recruit, support the training of, and develop volunteer drug educators to deliver high quality drug prevention activities where they are based. They will engage with churches creating opportunities to promote the work of Hope UK. They may work throughout the UK, but initially will help develop this work in London and Worcestershire, and the four areas where we have local project workers – South Wales, Northamptonshire, the East Midlands and Sheffield.
This a varied job involving talking to and meeting church leaders, exhibiting at Christian conferences, meeting volunteers, helping at events, supporting the training of volunteers, and delivering drug education sessions. We will, of course, train you as a drug educator and support you as you get started delivering sessions.
The successful candidate will:

- Be able to manage their time effectively
- Be a committed Christian*
- Be drug-free, including alcohol and nicotine
The important stuff
Location: Based at Gold Street, Kettering, NN16 8JB, although some can be home-based.
Hours: Full-time, 35 hours a week. Time off in lieu for out of office hours duties.
Salary: £25-£28,000 a year, depending on experience.
Travel: This role will require you to travel (within the UK).
DBS: This role is subject to an enhanced DBS check.
