What the role is
Do you have a pioneering spirit and love to start something new? Are you passionate about reaching out to young adults and seeing their lives changed by Jesus’ power and love? We would love you to join us at Haddon Hall to lead this exciting new project. You would set up and lead the project until Summer 2027, reaching out to young adults and youth in our area (such as students, young refugees, young professionals, young adults living on local authority estates, and others). You would enthuse, inspire and train a team to work with you. As new young adults come to faith and join the church, you would develop innovative discipleship to grow and deepen their relationship with Jesus. You would also lead and support our existing volunteer youth team, especially in the mission and discipleship of teenagers, and use your gifts to serve the church.

Who we’re looking for
We are looking for someone with a big heart for young adults and youth, a passion to see them come to know Jesus, and the ability to relate to different sorts of people. Someone who takes initiative and thinks strategically. Someone who is open to God’s leading and guidance in all areas of their life. A team player who can build and lead a team. Preferably, we would like someone with experience of developing youth work within a church or Christian context.

You would be part of the Leadership Team at Haddon, alongside our Church Leader Karen (who works three days a week), and the other members of the LT, who are drawn from the church. You would be supported by them and the wider church in your role. The working hours will be flexible, and you will have two days off a week.

We have been seeking God’s heart for our church and community, and the verse that he keeps highlighting to us is “See, I am doing a new thing!” (Isaiah 43:19). You would be part of discovering the new thing God is doing and being part of that: the most exciting thing in the world!
