World Horizons is a Missions Movement for Adventurous People who want to make Jesus known across the Globe. We serve the nations through prayer, making disciples, equipping believers, and creating new ways to display the Kingdom of God in our generation.
Our teams serve in several types of projects including education, humanitarian aid, sports initiatives, language teaching, church outreach and arts projects in many countries across the globe.
Purpose:
To support the International Personnel Director and wider HR team in delivering a cohesive and comprehensive HR service across the WH organization in line with WH’s Statement of Faith, Vision and Values. To have overall responsibility for the implementation, delivery, and review of policies and procedures which serve our personnel from the moment they initiate contact with WH to the moment they exit our movement.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Build and maintain excellent working relationships between HR, Member Care and Mentoring Team and other Personnel-related ministry to draw them together so that there is an integrated approach to all personnel-related activity across the entire organization
- Oversee the work of the International Administrative Assistant
- Oversee the organization’s contact database, ensuring national and international data protection laws are adhered to
- Coordinate personnel incidents and grievances with appropriate leaders
- Review, update and help create policies and procedures across the whole of the organisation
- Coordinate clear communication and expectations for new personnel between them and their new field or ministry leader
- Ensure the guidelines are followed for accepting new people into WH by liaising with sending and receiving field leaders
- Ensure the guidelines are followed for workers changing fields or returning to their sending country by liaising with field and ministry leaders
- Implementation of Training including but not limited to the following:
- International Policy and Process Awareness Training
- Safeguarding; Children and vulnerable adults
- Confidentiality of Record Keeping and sharing of information
- Coordinating regular appraisals and debriefs
- Umbrella of Personnel Care
- Responsible for setting up and arranging monthly HR team meetings including prayer for team members
- Attendance of and participation in Integrated Member Care and Mentoring Team monthly meetings
- Attendance of monthly Incubator prayer time and other ad hoc prayer times including the annual January month of prayer
