Football Ministry
A football ministry reaching young people for Jesus. We run a weekend soccer club with 130-150 kids on a Sat and Sun afternoon. We have 5 teams from under 9-under 17. Primarily these are boys, but we also have approx. 20 girls. We also have a senior team and under 20s who play in the Kenya Football Federation’s Division 2 league. They play each weekend and train 3-4 afternoons a week.
Our vision statement is to bring life, healing and hope to Kenya’s next generation through sports and mentorship programs, working primarily with young men from the Nairobi slums.
We run some discipleship groups with the kids on the weekend and with the young men in our senior team. We help families with groceries, and some school fees. We have a plan to build a discipleship hall in the slum where we can have after school activities, and a homework room/community library, a place of prayer and holiday activities.
