Continuing Airworthiness & AMO Stores Manager

Mission Aviation Fellowship

Does it excite you to be part of an organisation where every six minutes an aircraft takes off or lands somewhere in the world, transporting people who live in remote communities and assisting aid and development agencies, missions and churches to share the love of God?

Mission Aviation Fellowship is a unique Christian relief and development charity operating 130 light aircraft in over 30 countries. MAF transports patients, relief workers, produce, medical supplies and Christian workers in the world's remotest regions: places of deepest human need where flying is not a luxury but a lifeline. We have operated for over 75 years and have developed into a substantial aviation services charity

To paint a small picture, last year MAF carried out more than 56,000 flight legs, flying around 157,000 passengers and 6 million kg of freight to around 1400 destinations worldwide.

We now have a great opportunity for an engineer with appropriate qualifications and skills to support our Madagascar programme in ensuring  the airworthiness and serviceability of all MAF International's Malagasy registered aircraft. This role is subject to regulatory approval and will be key in assisting the AMO staff, in decision making, training, mentoring and empowering members of the team. IN addition the successful job holder will be responsible for managing the AMO's Bonded, Quarantine, and tools stores as well as purchasing, and receiving of all spare parts, rotables and consumables.

Continual improvement and compliance are central to this role, and as such you will recommend changes and improvements to processes and procedures to ensure good stewardship and effectively, and liaising with the Quality Manager to effect timely corrective actions. You will also need to cooperate with giving assistance to Quality and Safety Auditors as necessary.

As Manager of the AMO stores you would; ensure that parts and tools are stored in accordance with manufacturers requirements, administering both the batching process and computer records ensuring that all received items have been appropriately tagged and put away into the bonded store.  In addition you would track warranty claims, liaising with the manufacturer to ensure claims are processed efficiently, ensuring that all Rotable items removed from the aircraft are placed into the Quarantine Store and maintaining the cleanliness and arrangement of the Tools, Quarantine, and Bonded Stores
