Community Development Trainee

Church Mission Society

Are you passionate about justice and tackling poverty? Keen to make a difference and be equipped in community development and mission?

Our partner organisation offers a training programme for 18-30 year olds interested in community development to experience work on the ground in South Asia.

Through this short term 4 -5 month placement, trainees will be able to explore how community development and mission come together. They will be engaged in all areas of the organisation’s work, gaining valuable insight and experience for anyone looking to work in international development or integral mission.

This programme requires applicants to have a mature and living relationship with Jesus, with a humble learning attitude towards mission. Please note that a requirement for this opportunity is to have completed A-Levels (or equivalent high school education).

Church Mission Society places individuals, couples and families in over 30 countries around the world as we follow Jesus to the edges. Our placements are self-funding with extensive support in fundraising given to those who serve long-term (three years or longer). All placements are subject to our safer recruitment procedures, including DBS clearance. Church Mission Society is only able to directly test the calling of those who are rooted in UK/European churches.
