Join Nick and Cherry Clarke at The Wellspring for this Autumn Retreat, as we follow Jesus and his disciples through storms. Jesus invites them to join him by themselves but in crossing the sea of Galilee they discover so much more about faith and trust in the midst of threatening storms and human brokenness.

Depending on the weather, retreat spaces will be available both inside and out. All of our spaces are communal and may be shared by others who are attending. Numbers are limited to 15 to ensure a peaceful atmosphere, allowing personal space for reflection.

Tiered Pricing: we offer tiered pricing as a means of subsidising those who may not afford the standard price of certain events. The upper (donation) price tier is used by those who wish to support those needing to make use of the lower (subsidised) price tier. The middle price tier is our standard price.

10:30-11:30am: - First Session: Come away with me – Mark 6:30-33 How is it going for you? Being present to Jesus

11:30-11:40am: Comfort Break

11:40-12:30pm: - Second Session: Don’t you care we are perishing? Why are you afraid? The boldness of our faith

12:30-1:40pm: Lunch

1:40-2:30pm: - Third Session: Facing human storms and brokenness - Mark 5: 1-20 Jesus’ compassion for the ‘sheep without a shepherd'

2:30-2:40pm: Comfort Break.

2:40-3:30pm: - Fourth Session: Against the winds- John 6:16-21 Jesus is hidden in our lives, just as our lives are hidden in him.

3:30pm-4pm: End - Hot Drinks/Cake

About Your Retreat Leader:

Nick and Cherry Clarke retired and moved to Malvern in February 2024. They have three children, three grandsons and have lived in Somerset, Surrey, New Zealand, Cambridge, Warwickshire, France and Weymouth. Nick was a teacher for 15 years before retraining and spending 27 years as an Anglican vicar. Cherry was a teacher while bringing up their three children and on returning to England became coordinator of a local charity in Weymouth for the churches in the town. They now worship and minister at St Andrew’s.
