Join Cathy and Joe at The Wellspring for a day of reflection, stillness, and renewal as we explore how God’s peace can guide us in our decision-making. Throughout life, we are faced with choices—big and small—that shape our journey. But how do we discern the right path? The peace of God is more than a feeling; it is a steady, unshakable assurance that comes from aligning our hearts with Him.

This Quiet Day offers a time to step away from distractions and seek God’s direction. Whether through silent prayer, journaling, or creative expression, there will be space to engage in a way that resonates with your spiritual journey.

Retreat areas will be available both inside and outside, weather permitting. Numbers are limited to 15 to ensure a peaceful atmosphere, providing ample personal space for reflection.

Programme:

10-10:30am: Start - Welcome/Registration/Hot Drinks

10:30-11:00am: Reflection 1 - The Mind Governed by Peace A guided reflection on Romans 8:6 and Isaiah 26:3—how keeping our minds fixed on God leads to clarity and peace in decision-making.

11:00-11:30am: Gift of Time - A time to listen to God using the available spaces for silent prayer, scripture meditation, or contemplation.

11:30-12:30pm: Reflection 2 - The Peace That Directs Our Steps Meditating on Psalm 119:165 and John 16:33, we consider how God’s peace provides confidence amid uncertainty.

12:30-1:40pm: Lunch

1:40-2:30pm: Response 1 - Hearing God’s Voice in Stillness An opportunity to respond to God—through journaling, prayer prompts, or artistic expression—seeking His direction for specific areas of life.

2:30-2:40pm: Short Break.

2:40-3:30pm: Response 2 - Sharing and Encouragement A time of reflection and sharing; no obligation to speak, but an opportunity to bless others with insights from God.

3:30pm-4pm: End - Hot Drinks/Cake

About Your Quiet Day Leaders:

Cathy and Joe Silmon are the founders and wardens of The Wellspring. Their passion is to provide space for Christians to step away, seek God, and experience His presence. Having served in various church roles over the years, they established The Wellspring in December 2022 as a retreat and events centre in Herefordshire. They have been married for 29 years and have two grown-up children.
