Faith In Nature Learning Community (Autumn Gathering)

This is an opportunity for people involved in, or interested in, exploring and practicing Christian faith in and through nature and the great outdoors. Most of this long weekend will be spent out and about in the stunning hills, coastline and woodland around Kilmalieu. Autumn is an incredible time here. You will be part of a ‘learning community’; it’s a chance to be with people with similar visions and hopes, sharing experiences and ideas. This gathering follows a similar event we hosted last year that was incredibly inspiring and created a group that continues to meet online.

We are grateful to Rural Ministries for financial support for this retreat and the prices above reflect this. If you are willing to share a room, this will enable us to make this generous offer available to more people, but there is no pressure to do so. If you have no need of subsidy, please choose an unsubsidised option.

Accommodation is in the renovated eighteenth-century hunting lodge with a mixture of comfortable single, twin and family bedrooms. Some rooms have en-suite facilities, while others have shared toilet and shower facilities available.

This event is fully catered, starting with dinner after arrival on Friday and ending with breakfast before you leave on Monday. Food at Kilmalieu is home-made and consistently praised for its quality.

This gathering will be facilitated by Steve Aisthorpe and Shula Bayton. Steve is Centre Director at Kilmalieu, an experienced retreat leader, accredited coach and author of various books, including Rewilding the Church and Knowing You, Jesus. Shula is an experienced all-round outdoor instructor, based at Scripture Union’s Alltnacriche centre, near Aviemore. Both are passionate about helping people engage with the Creator in and through nature.
