Creative Christmas: Sewing and Advent Art

Would you like a weekend of warm fellowship, creativity and inspiration as the Christmas season approaches? Come to Kilmalieu and join well known quilter, textile artist and author, Gail Lawther. 

Gail will teach and support you in creating your own choice of stunning Christmas-themed projects from a selection she’ll offer beforehand. In addition to the sewing, there will be guided reflections on scripture and advent-themed works of art. 

No sewing experience is necessary, and all materials will be provided, but you should bring a sewing machine if possible. If this is a problem (for instance, if you don’t have one or are coming by train) please let us know. We have limited spare machines available – so please drop us an email or call to see if this is something we can provide. 

Kilmalieu occupies a stunning position on the shore of Loch Linnhe. It is a renovated eighteenth-century hunting lodge with a mixture of comfortable single, twin and family bedrooms. Food is home-made and consistently praised for its quality. Guests have access to a small library, art room, lounge, games room, chapel and gym and are free to explore the estate with its stunning coastline, hills and woodland.
