Autumnal Arrangements

Join Ruth Holt at The Wellspring for this Creative Arts morning. Do you like working with flowers in a small group of people? Do you want to learn a few tips and techniques? This is an opportunity to be creative with Autumnal foliage and flowers in a relaxed environment.

Make your own table arrangement using varied foliage and some flowers. Container, foliage and flowers provided, but if you have particular things you like to use do bring them with you. Please bring your own secateurs.

Places on this morning will be limited to 10.

Programme:

9.30-10:00am: Hot Drinks and Meeting the Group

10:00-10:20am: Some guidelines for assembling your arrangement.

10:20-12:00pm: Create your arrangement. Ruth will be on hand to help.

12:00-12:30pm: Pause for refreshments, coffee/tea/cake

12:30: Session Ends

About Your Creative Arts Morning Leader:

Ruth trained as a high school teacher and has spent a number of years in teaching both in Secondary and Primary schools. She has lived overseas in various places, including time doing missionary work in Thailand. Ruth has 3 grown up daughters, and 4 grandchildren. She lives in Malvern with her husband Andy.

Ruth has always loved flowers and sees flower arranging as an enjoyable hobby. Over the years she has enjoyed making arrangements and bouquets for churches, weddings, and receptions. She also loves making wreaths and table arrangements.

Ruth has learned a lot from attending some floristry club demonstrations and watching You Tube clips to gain ideas and tips. She has discovered that when arranging flowers there is no real 'right or wrong' way, so find it is an enjoyable activity that can be very relaxing.
