School Description: Hope Academy offers comprehensive English-language instruction from KG-12 to the children of expatriate workers in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan and beyond.

Hope Academy Bishkek (HAB)is looking for a full-time High school Math and ICT teacher for the 2025-26 school year. The HS Math and ICT teacher is responsible for maximizing the academic progress of the students collaboratively and working along with colleagues to participate fully in the development of the department. H/She promotes a positive, purposeful, and professional working atmosphere that encourages cooperation and challenge, whilst valuing the contribution that individuals make to the success of the department. We are looking for passionate teachers willing to work with a diverse group of international students, and have the qualifications to teach Mathematics in High school and ICT in Middle school.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • The Math/ICT teacher demonstrates strong content knowledge and is qualified to teach a combination of Precalculus and AP Calculus and has experience teaching ICT, based on interest and skill and the needs of the school. The Math/ICT teacher will hold students to high standards of achievement, while also supporting and differentiating as needed to enable students who are English Language Learners or who have skills gaps in their math education to achieve success in higher levels of math.
  • Prepare questions, model responses and practice effective instructional delivery.
  • Lead students through guided and independent practice and regularly check for understanding
  • Ensure academic rigor by asking increasingly difficult questions, accepting only high quality student responses and posting examples of high quality work
  • Classroom instructions: Deliver engaging and interactive lessons that promote reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills. Utilize a variety of instructional materials, resources, and technology to enhance learning experiences.
  • Assessment and Evaluation: Develop and administer assessments to evaluate students' progress and understanding of the curriculum. Provide timely and constructive feedback to students to support their academic growth.
  • Classroom Management: Establish and maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and collaboration. Implement effective classroom management strategies to ensure a safe and conducive learning atmosphere.
  • Differentiated Instruction: Differentiate instruction to accommodate diverse learning needs and abilities within the classroom. Provide additional support or challenges to students as needed.
  • Parent and Community Engagement: Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to provide updates on students' progress and address any concerns. Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and community members to enhance the overall educational experience.
  • Professional Development: Stay current with educational research, trends, and best practices in Language Arts instruction. Participate in professional development opportunities to continuously improve teaching skills and strategies.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Math/ICT teacher should possess two years of teaching experience preferably with a record of high student achievement.
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Experience working with youth
  • Teaching Credential in the corresponding field or willingness to seek credentialing if not already credentialed
  • Bachelor's Degree in Education, or Bachelor's Degree in Math/Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Unyielding commitment to students, self and school's constant learning and development
