Join Cathy and Joe at The Wellspring as we read, retreat and reflect on this moving scene from the gospel of Mark, about one woman's belief in Jesus' power to heal her, and His recognition of her radical faith.

Quiet Days are an opportunity for you to step away from your busy lives for a few hours and draw near to God. Though each day may be centred on a particular theme or subject, there is time, space, and other activities for you to participate in, should you wish. Also, we encourage you to bring any items (books to read, art materials, etc) that you think may benefit you during your time at The Wellspring.

Retreat areas will usually (subject to weather) be available both inside and outside the house; all areas are communal and may be shared by others, though with numbers limited to 15, there should be plenty of personal space for each guest.

Programme:

10-10:30am: Start - Welcome/Registration/Coffee

10:30-11:20am: Session 1 - Opening prayer, introduction to the day, reading of the bible passage, a short meditation.

11:20-11:30am: Short Break.

11:30-12:30pm: Session 2 - Retreat - find a space to wait on God, in the quiet of the day.

12:30-1:40pm: Lunch - Soup, Roll, and Cold Drinks.

1:40-2:30pm: Session 3 - Retreat - find a space to wait on God, in the quiet of the day.

2:30-2:40pm: Short Break.

2:40-3:30pm: Session 4 - Feedback - a time of sharing and encouragement to end the day; no obligation to share but if you've experienced something precious and wish to bless others, this would be a good time.

3:30pm-4pm: End - Coffee/Cake

About Your Quiet Day Leaders:

Cathy and Joe Silmon are founders and wardens of The Wellspring. Having served together in the church in different roles over the years, it had always been on their heart to one day run a retreat and events centre. This became a reality in December 2022, when the couple moved up to Woolpits Farm near Ledbury in Herefordshire - where The Wellspring was established. They are passionate about providing time, space and hospitality to those seeking encounter with God. They have been married for 28 years and have two grown-up children, Josh and Sarah.
