Conference Coordinator


An events organiser is required to take responsibility for day-to-day aspects of arranging the members' annual conference. This is a voluntary position working from home.

The MissionAssist annual conference is a very successful event held in the UK typically in May. The programme runs from Friday evening to Sunday lunchtime with reports on activities of the charity, opportunities to meet with other home-based volunteers, Bible teaching, worship and fellowship.

Overall Responsibility

To coordinate the successful annual conference for members of MissionAssist.

Key Tasks

  • Plan the annual conference for members, in collaboration with the Director of Administration and CEO.
  • Arrange the event including communications with the venue and external speakers.
  • Manage the marketing to members, registrations and any specific requirements.
  • Attend and oversee the conference, including gathering feedback.
  • Track costs and member' payments to manage the budget responsibly.

Required Skills or Abilities

  • Aptitude for administration, with attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office including Word and Excel.
  • Experience with event organisation would be an advantage.
