Do you have a passion for youth and children's ministry? Do you want to see young lives changed and their community strengthened?
We are looking for someone to work in the vulnerable children's centre at Ogugu, Kogi State, Nigeria. The Centre is in a rural area, but is a well developed facility that provides a range of essential services to vulnerable and marginalised children and youth - education - clothing and feeding - practical life skills - Christian nurture. Gospel values and the sharing of Christ are at the heart of the centre.
There is an occupational requirement for overseas missionaries to be committed Christians, endorsed and formally recognised by their home Church. Missionaries must be able to support and promote the Christian ethos and theological beliefs of Mission Africa as set forth in our statement of faith. Missionaries, in addition to their overseas work, will be expected, whilst on home assignment (furlough), to support the Mission through taking part in various Christian activities such as (but not limited to) Church events of any type, prayer meetings, Christian conferences, informal Christian gatherings.
All overseas roles require some personal support raising to be carried out – missionaries are expected to raise a minimum of 70% of their estimated support costs. Mission Africa will offer training and support in fundraising activities.
Please mention OSCAR when responding.
