Theological Lecturer
Do you want to train and equip the next generation of African church leaders? Have you a passion for teaching others about what the Bible means? Do you have a master's degree in Theology?
This position offers an exciting and uniquely stimulating opportunity to make a strategic difference in the development of the Church in Nigeria. You can serve for just one semester, one year or full time for a number of years.
Due to academic timetables, short term placements will require a minimum commitment of three months (one semester) and for fixed dates according to college needs.
We are a UK based agency and require applicants to have a legal right to reside and work in the UK.
There is an occupational requirement for overseas missionaries to be committed Christians, endorsed and formally recognised by their home Church. Missionaries must be able to support and promote the Christian ethos and theological beliefs of Mission Africa as set forth in our statement of faith. Missionaries, in addition to their overseas work, will be expected, whilst on home assignment (furlough), to support the Mission through taking part in various Christian activities such as (but not limited to) Church events of any type, prayer meetings, Christian conferences, informal Christian gatherings.
All overseas roles require some personal support raising to be carried out – missionaries are expected to raise a minimum of 70% of their estimated support costs. Mission Africa will offer training and support in fundraising activities.
Please mention OSCAR when responding.
